As the Medical Director of Enhanced Hearing, Dr. Peskind and Dr. Bernthal work closely to monitor and maintain your hearing health. The unique collaboration of having an ear, nose and throat physician and audiologist working together allows for immediate consultation in the event you may have an incidental infection, unusual hearing loss, or simply need ear wax removal to complete your hearing evaluation. Beth Bernthal

Certified, Licensed Doctor of Audiology

Beth Bernthal, Au.D., CCC-ADr. Beth Bernthal provides comprehensive audiological services to our patients, with her 25 years of experience evaluating hearing and fitting hearing aids for all ages, infant to elderly. She specializes in assessing and identifying central auditory processing disorders, and helps those individuals through counseling and the use of assistive device technology. In addition, she works with patients who have tinnitus, to define their tinnitus and develop rehabilitation plans that minimize the negative impact of tinnitus on their lives.

Dr. Bernthal spent many years as Faculty Associate and Clinical Supervisor in the Doctor of Audiology programs at the University of Texas at Dallas Callier Center for Communication Disorders, and at the University of North Texas Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. She’s also worked in medical center, private practice, and hearing instrument settings. Dr. Bernthal is devoted to serving patients with hearing difficulties, and their families; and she is committed to bringing best practices and current technology to our patients.

Dr. Bernthal earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida, and her Master and Bachelor degrees in Audiology and Communication Disorders from Western Michigan University. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is licensed to practice Audiology by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Dr. Bernthal is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and a member of the Texas Academy of Audiology. When she isn’t at work, Dr. Bernthal enjoys exercise, going to the theater and museums, and spending time with her family and friends.

Michelle Tullos

Hearing Healthcare Coordinator

Michelle Tullos Audiology AssistantMichelle Tullos is the Hearing Healthcare Coordinator for Enhanced Hearing. She works closely with Dr. Bernthal and Dr. Peskind to ensure our patients’ hearing needs are properly met and managed. Michelle specializes in scheduling your appointments, hearing aid repair and cleaning, and assisting you with warranty and accessory needs. When she is not at work, Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends.
